Destineak will be playing:
Friday from 8pm-8:40pm and on
Sunday from 12pm-1pm.
60,000 people are projected to be in attendance over the course of 3 days.
The Sunday show will start out as a big drum show with Bobby James leading over 1000 drummers. Bring your drum and beat your heart out! multicultural celebration with 40 international
pavilions celebrating music, food and culture. 5
stages of entertainment with headline performers on
the World Music Stage and the Celebrations dance
stage, all this in a brand new beautiful urban park.
Fusion Festival takes place July 18 to 20, 2008 at Surrey’s magnificent new urban park Holland Park located at King George Highway and Old Yale Road. This will be the largest multicultural event in Surrey’s history as over 60,000 people are projected to attend this free outdoor festival.
Festival brings together many distinct cultural heritages represented by ethnic and community groups hosting pavilions to present the music, food, costume and dance of their country of origin.
THIS IS A FREE CONCERT BUT...
The City of Surrey announced today that due to an overwhelming positive response, Surrey Fusion Festival presentation of Jazzy B, KS Makhan and others on Friday, July 18, 2008 at Surrey’s Holland Park will now require tickets for admission for the evening concert.
Tickets are being distributed beginning Saturday, June 28 at 9:30 am through the festival website at www.fusionfestival.surrey.ca, and they are also available via toll-free phone order 1-866-760-8324 or in person locally in Surrey at Robbie’s Video (120th Street). The concert is free but a $2.00 service charge will apply for ticketing services.
